Paige and Ewan’s wedding was held on 11th May 2018 at the Candi Beach Resort located at Mendira Beach. Mendira Beach is located in the beautiful and exciting resort town of Candidasa in East Bali.
Candi Beach Resort is a 4-star resort featuring traditional Balinese architecture. The resort is an oasis for those wishing to escape to a quiet and peaceful area while avoiding the busy, tourist-laden areas of the city.
With a private beach for the ceremony and a massive garden area as a wedding event reception area, Candi Beach Resort is perfect for weddings in the 150 guest range.
The resort features beautiful white sands in stark contrast to other black sand beaches common to the area. The white sands and turquoise water make swimming very tempting. However, due to strong currents and large wave action, visitors are advised to just enjoy the natural beauty of the surf and sand and sunbathe when visiting the resort.
Guests for Paige and Ewan’s wedding were staying in South Bali at the Legian Beach Hotel which is about 60 km from the Candi Beach Resort. We provided ELF minibus for guests to shuttle between properties at their leisure. It should be noted that Legian Beach Hotel and the Candi Beach Resort are under the same management group.
The ceremony was held on the beachfront on a windy day. The happy couple was surrounded by their beloved families and friends and words can’t describe the elegance and beauty of the ceremony and the setting. Festivities continued with a sunset cocktail hour before the reception. Guests enjoyed delightful cocktails, canapes, and conversation with live acoustic percussions enhancing the atmosphere.
The reception featured excellent food, dancing, and traditional speeches by the family and close friends of the bride and groom which warmed the hearts of those attending the wedding. At the end of the night fireworks sparkled in the sky to provide a romantic conclusion to a fabulous wedding. It was truly a great feeling to see our newlyweds kissing under a sky filled with beautiful fireworks at the conclusion of their wedding day.
The event and party are over, the fireworks are long finished, but we believe the love between Paige and Ewan will continue to sparkle for many years to come
